Classroom Procedures and Expectations
Arriving to Class
Take care of personal business before coming to class.
Tardy
Students are considered Tardy to class when they:

During Class
Do not be the reason someone else misses out on important instruction!
Prepared for Class
Students are Prepared for Class when they have all of their required materials upon entering the classroom. Students who do not have required materials must borrow or return to their locker to retrieve missing items must place a mark on the behavior chart. Students receive three Not Prepared for Class passes first quarter and two second quarter. All subsequent instances result in an office referral. (Pg. 2 Student Handbook) |
Leaving Class
Leave the classroom ready for the next class.
Restroom Pass
We all have to go from time to time. Student must complete the HALL PASS page in their agenda to leave the classroom. No exceptions. Consequences

Homework and Late Work Procedures
Homework completion is essential to student success. It is the practice before the big game. Students will have assignments to be completed outside of class most school nights. Assignments should take 15-30 minutes to complete outside of class, given they will have class time to begin. Many assignments are assigned over a 2-3 day period of time with ample class time to work with peers and ask questions. On January 4th, the Junior High office modified the ZAP Process that is described on page 14 of the Junior High Student Handbook. Modified language was shared by Mr. McGuire. Here is how that affects your students class grades.
